Holiday Spirits and Monsters
As Halloween rolls around, ghosts, goblins and slutty everythings are preparing to take to the streets in search of tricks, treats and/or a damn good party. But, let’s all remember that it’s, more often than not, a favorite horror antihero or other characters from Hollywood. For me, the necessary movies to get in the holiday spirit are Monster Squad, Willy’s Wonderland and Night of The Living Dead (1990). You haven’t seen Moster Squad ( https://m.imdb.com/title/tt0093560/ ) it’s almost expected in this day and age, but you have gone way too long without knowing “Wolfman’s got nards.” This late 80s comedy/monster hybrid gave an entirely new generation exposure to the legendary Universal movie monsters Dracula, Wolfman, Frankenstein’s Monster, and more while having the excitement and mischief one has to expect from kids movies of the decade.
